ASKED

Frequently

Is a coworking space just a more exclusive coffee shop?

Unless your local coffee shop offers private meeting rooms, personal offices, phone booths and an extensive list of business amenities, then the answer is categorically, no. Instead of noisy patrons and loud music, we offer printing services, mailboxes, phone booths, and environments designed to enhance productivity. And not to worry, you won’t experience a caffeine shortage here. We offer coffee and hot tea to help you stay fueled and focused throughout the work day.

Is coworking a professional solution for my business?

Absolutely. Coworking is a forward-thinking office space solution that allows businesses to scale safely and smartly. Even major corporations and Fortune 500 companies are offering offsite workspace alternatives to their employees as they’ve experienced the benefits of allowing their employees to feel refreshed and inspired in creative coworking environments.

Firehouse Workspace was designed to be casual and inviting while maintaining a professional atmosphere that impresses clients, invites teamwork and drives your next great idea.

Is coworking only for professionals interested in collaboration?

While coworking spaces are conducive for collaboration, they are not limited to team working sessions. Most coworking establishments offer a variety of environments that are well-suited for introverts and extroverts alike. At Firehouse, casual lounge furniture, open tables and meeting rooms are ideal for networking and brainstorming with like-minded professionals, while phone booths, private desks and individual work stations are perfect for head-down, laptop-intensive work days.

What is the commitment involved with a coworking membership?

Agreements and payment flexibility vary amongst coworking providers. At Firehouse, we strive to offer maximum flexibility for our members as we understand the risk associated with running a small business. We offer reasonable prices and a month-to-month commitment. No stress or hassle.

How do your Membership Agreements work?

Our agreements range from hourly meeting room and studio rentals to monthly Memberships. We know that month-to-month agreements can help you grow your startup or small business at the rate most comfortable to you. Need some space while you move offices? Want to visit with us while your space is being renovated? We can help with that, too.

Can I use a coworking space if I’m not a member?

This depends on the coworking provider, but most coworking spaces provide a daily option for guests. Firehouse offers a daily Drop In Pass for just $20 per person. Your Drop In Pass allows you full, all-day access to our innovative work environments and business class WiFi.

Why pay for a coworking membership when I can work from home or a coffee shop for free?

While working from home or a coffee shop may not come at a financial expense, it can come at the expense of your business. It’s difficult to work productively when faced with daily home factors, such as pets and laundry, and noisy coffee shops that interfere with your concentration, focus and performance.

Can I stop by when I’m in the area or do I need to make an appointment?

We ask that you schedule a tour in advance to ensure the availability of our team, so we can focus on helping you find the best office solution possible during your visit. Book here or call us at 575-268-6031 to schedule a visit.

What are the terms of your Resident Desk & Private Office Membership Agreements?

All agreements begin on the 1st of the month.  Our 30-day notice policy requires move-out on the last day of the month, allowing the new member to move in on the 1st of the following month.

Do I have to sign a lease agreement?

No.  Firehouse Workspace is membership-based only, so no leases are required.  Members are required to sign a Membership Agreement based on the type of solution they select.

How much do I need to reserve a monthly membership or an office?

Offices require a refundable deposit of $99. Resident Desks and Hot Desks don't require a deposit.

Can you define all those coworking terms, please?

Hot desk or open workspace- These desks function just like the seats at your favorite coffee shop, but with better wifi and a printer. You walk in and take a spot wherever one is available.

Resident desk- These desks belong to one person, all the time. You can decorate with personal belongings, and you get a locking file cabinet that goes underneath.

Phone booth- A phone booth is a little cubicle (just like it sounds). Anyone working in the open space can use it for a more private phone call or Zoom meeting.

Drop In or Day Pass- This is a one-day pass to come in and use a hot desk. You can come and go as you please for the entire day, from 9 am to 5 pm.

Virtual Address- If you need a professional address, but not an office, a virtual address is for you. It comes with a personal mailbox number and allows you to receive mail at the Firehouse without renting physical space.

What are your standard hours of operation?

We function as a community rather than a fully staffed office space. There's usually someone onsite from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, but not always.

What if I want to book a meeting room or photo studio on the weekend or after hours?

No problem! If the calendar will let you book it, it's available. Someone will be here to meet you for your reservation, or you'll receive an email with instructions on accessing and using the space.

Can guests visit me at my private office?

Absolutely!  You can register your guests via email at hello@firehouseandcityhall.com. You’ll receive a confirmation email once they’re registered.

My company is moving, renovating or has grown out of its current space. Can Firehouse Workspace help us?

Yes, we’re happy to help companies and teams that are transitioning or are in need of temporary space. Please contact us for more information.
